IMDT member Dog Trainer at Royvon
Charlie is a behaviour specialist and an assessed member of the Institute of Modern Dog Training who has been working at Royvon for over four years. Charlie has vast experience in teaching foundational and advanced life skills; helping dogs through reactivity and confidence building.
Charlie's own dog Amber is a Boxer x Alapaha Bulldog so she has a huge passion for Bull breeds of any kind. Charlie loves to break down the stereotype that Bull breeds are stubborn and unintelligent by training her dog to a high level of obedience and taking part in the dog sport GRC. One of Charlie’s most recent endeavors is helping XL Bully type dogs and their owners who have been affected by the recent ban.
Charlie loves to work with high energy dogs and converting their enthusiasm and zeal into fulfilling, beneficial activities that they can enjoy with their owner. Charlie believes in working with a dog's natural instincts and genetics rather than against it and strives to find the best way to motivate the dog in front of her. Charlie has a special interest in the functions behind different breeds and helping owners get a deeper understanding of their dog and why they behave the way they do. Charlie loves to make training fun for both the dog and owner, and her main goal is always to strengthen the bond and understanding between partners so they can live their best lives together.
Charlie believes in taking a holistic approach in her training, which focuses not only on teaching dogs new skills but also considering how your dog is feeling, their genetics, their lifestyle and overall health to get the best long term results possible for you and your dog.
Charlie is always striving to learn and develop her skills so she regularly takes part in in-person workshops with renown trainers, online conferences and gaining new qualifications so she can pass on her knowledge to her clients and give them the best experience possible.
You can watch Charlie in action on our Instagram and Tiktok accounts as well as her own page training_amber to get an idea of how Charlie works and what you can achieve with your dog.
Charlie’s genuine care and follow-up have made a significant difference. We are grateful for her expertise and the support from Royvon. Thank you, Charlie and Royvon, for your time, care, patience, and dedication.

I cannot recommend Royvon Merthyr Tydfil enough, and in particular Anna. Her knowledge of all things GSD is phenomenal. She has shown us, guided us and continues to patiently mentor both my husband and myself, in helping our gorgeous boy, Iori, with his reactivity. If I could bottle her up and take her home I most certainly would.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Helped me immensely. My puppy is now much calmer and wounds are healing nicely with no new ones. Would definitely recommend.
